Have you ever been to a concert where everyone around you was singing along—except you? It’s a totally different experience when you know the songs. The same is true in our music classes.
When children are familiar with the music before coming to class, they’re more likely to participate fully and confidently. Increased engagement leads to deeper learning and a greater return on your family’s investment.
Listening to the class songs at home or in the car gives your child a head start—and sets the stage for success. Even better, it becomes a shared experience—not just instruction, but connection, joy, and musical fun for both of you.
Ear Training
To develop true musicianship, students need regular and consistent exposure to primary chords, solfège patterns, and classical repertoire. This kind of ear training requires time and repetition—and out-of-class listening offers a valuable opportunity to internalize what they hear and deepen their musical understanding.
How to Listen
It is important for your child to have easy access to a device to be able to listen to the album as often as possible. Here are 3 ways to listen to the album:
1. A device with the Let's Play Music app (iPad, iPod, or Smart Phone)
2. Download the album mp3 files from the Digital Library and place files on a device.

Sign into your Dashboard and click on the album you need to download. (Image attached below)

3. Invest in a Yoto Player or similar device (image attached below) These are great, child friendly and easy to use!

Be sure to learn all about the music from our programs on “Our Music” page on our website!
