One of the best parts about teaching Let’s Play Music is watching our students grow up! Those little musicians who once sang “Do-Re-Mi” and practiced puppet arms are now teaching, performing, composing, and studying at amazing schools.
We love seeing how the foundation they built in Let’s Play Music continues to show up in their lives years later. Here are just a few of our graduates and what they’re up to now:
Meet a Few of Our Alumni

Graduated 2013 – Student of Julie Craig
Now a Certified Sound Beginnings Teacher, this alum is headed to BYU to study Music Education. She still connects LPM songs to her college theory classes and rehearsals—proof that those playful foundations really stick!

Anna Petersen – Graduated 2009
With a degree in general music (emphases in audio technology, piano, and composition), Anna is now pursuing a master’s degree in music technology. Her college classmates were surprised at how much she already knew from her LPM days!

Delainee Fischbeck – Graduated 2008
Delainee has continued playing the cello since her LPM days. She still uses the mnemonics and broken-chord patterns she learned to help with intonation.

Levi Bishop – Graduated 2019
Levi still takes private piano lessons and also enjoys tennis, singing, and acting. He regularly uses the sheet-music reading skills he learned in LPM.

Truman Walker – Graduated 2013
Currently studying piano at The New England Conservatory of Music, Truman says the colors and imagery from LPM opened his ears in a way he uses every single day in his practice.

Emma Murdock – Graduated 2012
Emma studied songwriting at Berklee, competed on American Idol, and now performs aboard Royal Caribbean cruise lines! She still remembers her BUG rhythms and Red-Yellow-Blue chord tactics from LPM.
Why This Matters
At Let’s Play Music, we’re not just teaching kids to play a few songs — we’re building a musical foundation for life. Our playful activities, color chords, and ear-training games give children real music theory skills that last well beyond childhood.
These alumni are proof that early music education works — and that music can guide, inspire, and open doors for years to come.
