Why Teach with Let’s Play Music?

If you’ve ever dreamed of turning your passion for music into a meaningful career that makes a lasting impact on children’s lives, becoming a Let’s Play Music teacher could be the perfect opportunity. And the best part? You don’t have to do it alone. With a proven curriculum, comprehensive teacher support, and a community that encourages you every step of the way, you can confidently build a studio that fits your lifestyle and goals.

Step 1: Apply Online

Getting started is easy! Just fill out the application form and record a short demo video (about 6–8 minutes). No need to stress—Let’s Play Music gives you a sample lesson to follow so you’ll feel confident from the start. Most teachers complete this step in only a week or two.

Step 2: Meet the Team

Next comes a friendly video interview. This is where you’ll connect with Let’s Play Music staff, ask questions, and learn more about the process. Once you’re ready, you’ll sign the licensing agreement, pick your training date, and create your teacher profile. At this point—you’re officially on your way!

Step 3: Pick Your Program

Let’s Play Music has three exciting curriculums, so you can choose what fits your interests best:

  • Sound Beginnings (Ages 0–4): A playful family-style class full of music, movement, and bonding.

  •  Let’s Play Music (Ages 4–6): The flagship program where kids build strong music theory foundations through singing, games, and piano.

    ree
  • Presto (Ages 7–12): A fast-paced piano course for older beginners, packed with fun games and challenging pieces.

Each program has its own tuition rates, class sizes, and income potential, but all are designed to be rewarding both musically and financially.

Step 4: Begin Your Training

Training is designed to make you feel confident and prepared before stepping into your first class. It happens in stages:

  1. Preliminary Training: Work through online lessons at your own pace (about 40 hours). These videos give you the basics before you start teaching.

  2. Curriculum Seminar: Attend either a one-day, in-person seminar or a two-week online version. You’ll learn teaching skills, classroom tips, and practice music activities like solfège and rhythm.

  3. Post-Seminar Prep: A one-week online course that shows you how to set up your studio and start enrolling students.

  4. Field Training: Optional but very helpful! You’ll get personal mentoring from an experienced teacher through Zoom and video feedback.

Step 5: Plan Your Studio

Your studio is your space—whether that’s a cozy corner of your home, a garage converted into a classroom, or even a commercial space. You’ll need the basics, like instruments and movement props, and some room to move around. Plus, Let’s Play Music helps with all the nitty-gritty details (like insurance, background checks, and marketing tools).

Step 6: Launch & Grow

Once you finish training, you’re ready to go! You’ll receive all of the following:

✅ Complete lesson plans and teaching materials

✅ Marketing support to help you find students

✅ A trusted curriculum that parents already love

✅ Mentors and a community of teachers to guide you

Why Teachers Love It

  • Flexibility: Set your own schedule and decide how many classes you want to teach.

  • Support: You’ll never feel like you’re doing this alone.

  • Fun: Kids learn through play, which makes teaching exciting every single week.

  • Income Potential: Group classes mean you can earn more in less time.

Ready to Begin Your Journey?

If music lights you up and you love working with kids, becoming a Let’s Play Music teacher could be your dream job. You’ll get to share your passion, create joyful learning experiences, and build a business that works for your family and lifestyle.
