Here at Let's Play Music, one of our core values is We Pursue Quality which preserves our integrity.
It's easy to be enticed by all the toys, clothes, games, etc. that pop into your media feed. The flashy sales are all around, tempting me to buy all sorts of stuff at a super-discount price. But wait a minute, is this stuff really what you want?
Has your kiddo ever begged for something that looked tempting and pretty in its packaging, but it fell apart after she played with it a few times? Perhaps that super-saver-discount deal was no deal at all. We don't want to get bamboozled into buying junk. We want to invest our time and money in quality items and experiences.
That applies to shopping for gifts and investing in your music classes!
Cheap Toys vs. Quality Toys
You’re a great parent, so you already know low-quality toys—they’re the ones that end up in the toy bin, get little play, and break easily. Before birthdays, you hope they don’t make an appearance.
When you buy toys for your children, you'll be able to find quality items by considering:
Open-ended Play: Does it inspire imaginative scenarios, or is it too specialized and quickly boring?
Durability and Safety: Is it sturdy enough for rough play and safe for your child? Well-made toys also have better resale value.
Aesthetics: Is it pleasing to look at and handle?
Child’s Interests: Does it align with your child's interests and remain engaging over time?
Opt for fewer, high-quality toys. Music toys can encourage creativity, especially if you play music together. Focus on toys that create meaningful experiences. For musical gift ideas, see our Webstore and remember that enjoying the books and instruments with your child is the best part.
Quality Experiences?
At Let's Play Music, we don't sell toys. We deliver a high-quality musical education. You're a savvy shopper and carefully choose how you spend your time and money on experiences for your family. Here are questions you'll want to ask about any program you enroll your child in:
Does the program train teachers? At LPM, teachers undergo intensive training for each curriculum year, learning the games, songs, and underlying philosophies, and demonstrate their ability to lead and explain the activities accurately.
Is there a certification process? LPM teachers are regularly evaluated through class videos to maintain certification and ensure adherence to our vision.
Do teachers have support? LPM teachers benefit from a robust support network, including a training team, online peer communication, and annual meetings for further education.
Do the program’s values align with yours? Visit our "About" page for company values and founder's background.
Choose fewer, high-quality activities that focus on your child's development. The LPM curriculum provides a strong musical foundation, especially beneficial during formative years. Engage fully by attending classes, completing homework, and practicing with your child.
Wherever You Go
It matters that the Let's Play Music program is consistently high-quality everywhere. For example, a student who moved mid-semester was able to seamlessly continue with Yellow Arrows Lesson 5 with a new teacher. Additionally, if you have to miss a class, you can view a class video for the lesson you missed and see the exact same content presented in class!
As you shop, focus on quality in both products and programs you choose.
